SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment FDA-approved to improve cheek skin smoothness and reduce horizontal neck lines in adults over 21.
Using microdroplet injections, SKINVIVE™ helps the skin retain moisture and improves the appearance of smoothness without adding structural volume or changing facial shape. Results may last up to six months with optimal treatment, although individual outcomes vary.

WHAT IT IS
SKINVIVE™ is an injectable skin-quality treatment made with hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, SKINVIVE™ is not intended to create facial contour or replace lost volume. It is designed to improve the appearance of skin smoothness in the cheeks and reduce the appearance of horizontal lines on the neck.
SKINVIVE™ is FDA-approved for adults over 21 and has been studied across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI.

HOW IT WORKS
SKINVIVE™ is administered through a series of small microdroplet injections into the skin using a fine needle or cannula. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains water, helping improve the appearance of skin hydration, softness, and smoothness.
In the cheeks, treatment is intended to improve skin smoothness. In the neck, treatment is intended to reduce the appearance of horizontal neck lines and improve overall neck appearance.
SKINVIVE™ is not designed to lift tissue, create significant volume, or change facial proportions.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Treatment typically takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on the areas treated. A topical anesthetic may be used when appropriate, and SKINVIVE™ contains lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment.
Small injection-site bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, firmness, itching, or discoloration may occur. These effects commonly improve over several days, although some reactions may last longer.
Improvement develops gradually. Results may last up to six months with optimal treatment, but duration varies based on the treatment area, skin characteristics, metabolism, and other individual factors.

You may feel pinching, pressure, or brief stinging during treatment. A topical anesthetic may be used when appropriate, and SKINVIVE™ contains lidocaine for added comfort.

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, itching, firmness, or small injection-site bumps may occur. Most patients return to normal activities promptly, although visible injection-site effects may last several days or longer.

Common side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, firmness, lumps or bumps, discoloration, and pain at the injection sites. Rare but serious complications can occur with injectable treatments, including infection, vascular occlusion, skin injury, and visual changes.

Tell your provider about your medications, supplements, allergies, previous filler treatments, recent procedures, and any active skin conditions. Treatment may need to be postponed if the area has an active infection, rash, or significant irritation.

Your provider will provide individualized aftercare instructions. You may be advised to temporarily limit strenuous exercise, significant heat exposure, alcohol, sun exposure, and makeup application immediately after treatment.

Potentially. The timing of SKINVIVE™ in relation to microneedling, laser treatments, chemical peels, neuromodulators, and other injectables depends on the treatment areas and your individual medical history. Your provider will recommend an appropriate treatment schedule.
