ABOUT US
KRISTIN, BSN, RN | CO-FOUNDER | AESTHETIC NURSE
Registered Nurse with a background in aesthetics and critical care, Kristin brings a high level of clinical integrity to every treatment performed at 27 Skin Studio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University and began her career working in Neuro/Surgical ICU and aesthetic dermatology, where she developed a meticulous eye for detail and patient-centered care.
Prior to launching 27 Skin Studio, Kristin served as a lead clinician and in-house trainer at an Aesthetic Dermatology Clinic in Newport Beach, CA. There, she performed services including but not limited to lasers, injectables, and non-surgical aesthetic treatments, while also training new aesthetic nurses in safe, effective techniques and skin rejuvenation protocols.
Kristin specializes in aesthetic procedures such as neuromodulators, microneedling, dermal fillers, and regenerative skin treatments. Her approach emphasizes natural results, subtle refinement, and long-term skin health. She is deeply committed to elevating both the standard of care and the client experience within aesthetic medicine.
DR. MONICA KIEU, D.O., FACS | CO-FOUNDER | MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Board-certified facial and reconstructive plastic surgeon with a distinguished background in both surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. She earned her medical degree with honors from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Kieu completed her residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Michigan State University/Detroit Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She further specialized by completing a prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kieu is actively involved in medical education. She serves as an assistant clinical professor for the Department of Surgical Services at Michigan State University and Touro University, Nevada, where she mentors the next generation of surgeons. Dr. Kieu is also committed to humanitarian efforts, having performed facial reconstructive and head and neck procedures in underserved regions of Vietnam and Malawi.
Recognized for her expertise, Dr. Kieu was named one of LA’s Top Docs by Los Angeles Magazine. She is a member of several major medical organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Kieu practices in both Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, California, offering a range of services focused on enhancing natural beauty through advanced techniques and personalized care.
